A vision more than a
decade in the making
FortisureIT did not begin as a company. It began as a conviction, that technology services could be built differently: locally rooted, globally capable, and fair in value.
Global Community Expansion
Beyond expanding delivery capacity, this initiative is rooted in impact. As we grow, we are committed to opening offices in mid-sized cities and smaller markets, creating access to technology careers for talented individuals in underrepresented regions. The goal remains consistent, build strong local communities, develop future leaders, and deliver greater value to our clients through a blended global workforce.
Global Delivery Expansion & FortisureIT India
Global Development Centers Begin Building on our mission of community-driven growth, FortisureIT took its next major step with the establishment of FortisureIT India. This milestone extends the same principles that shaped our Center of Excellence in Akron, developing talent, creating opportunity, and delivering reliable technology services, into a global model. With the launch of our India center, we are now enabling Global Development Center (GDC) capabilities for our clients. This allows organizations to scale delivery efficiently while working with a single, integrated FortisureIT team across the US and India.
Development Program Established
FortisureIT has established a well-structured development program that is data and programming focused. Having cultivated a reliable leadership team, we are continuing to expand our toolbox to take care of dynamic customer needs.
Team Expansion
Rob Kozak joined the team in 2019. The renovation of the office building owned by FortisureIT Holdings LLC was completed in mid-2020 with support from a few well wishers. Rob started building our team and now he leads our initiative as our Executive Director (Client Excellence). We knew all along the task was not going to be easy but our commitment to the cause gave us the tenacity to persist.
Founding FortisureIT
After 5 years of unsuccessful attempts at working with partners to find the right talent, Mani finally decided to build the business bottom up with the identification of IT outsourcing leaders who shared his vision. As a first step, FortisureIT LLC was planned throughout 2017 and founded in January of 2018 which then purchased our office building in Akron, OH and renovated it to accommodate about 125 software professionals. When the renovation is complete, we will have the platform that could help us through the addition of the right technically trained resources to become a major technology employer in the region.
Fortisure LLC Founded
Mani and his family start Fortisure LLC to support promising opportunities in technology business. In addition, the Subramanian family wanted to serve communities and help other causes, which brought Mani to Akron/Canton, OH in 2012.
Keane Acquisition
Mani presided as Executive Chairman of Keane, until its acquisition by the Japanese conglomerate NTT DATA.
Major Buy-out
With $1B of funding from Citibank, Mani architected the buy-out of Keane, a Boston-based company over six times Caritor's size in terms of revenue.
Growth of Caritor
Caritor grew to over 3,500 employees across four continents, and they recorded an annual revenue of $150 million.
Rebranding
IT Solutions is rebranded as Caritor.
Influence Software Sold
Mani co-founded Influence Software in 1996 and sold it to Nasdaq-listed Informatica in 1999.
Entrepreneurial Journey Begins
Mani, a Mechanical Engineer and a Post Graduate in Business Administration from India, left his last job as President & CEO of Wipro Systems in August 1992 to start his entrepreneurial journey in 1993 in San Francisco with a capital of just $150,000, founding IT Solutions, Inc.
